Looking for Something?

Our Purpose:  Equipping church leaders and members to discover what they do best.

The Ministry Purpose Team will help you discover your gifts, skills and strengths and match them with church jobs or tasks that you have a passion for.

Latest Activity: Annual January Faith Leadership Retreat

Theme:  "God's People Plan as They Carry Out His Mission"

The room was set-up and people started arriving...our team task is to support anything with leadership training in the title and for this one we support the Pastor's with food and beverages, and training materials.  This time our own team champion (leader) discussed Conflict Resolution.

Breakfast health food selections was provided but this is more photogenic.

Now the blessing of showing up early for donuts, bagels, fresh fruit, juice and coffee is you get to volunteer for acting roles.

The Pastors facilitated the retreat and kept it moving...with ice breakers, focus groups and lots of opportunity for everyone to speak and write on the white board.  Laughing was also part of the criteria.

The highlight after 3 hours  of talking and listening was a lunch of homemade pulled pork sandwiches, chips, dill pickles and a great chocolate chip cookie...pizza style (would of had pictures but was kind of busy).

How will we help you find your gifts?

Well, we have this wonderful class 301 called "Discovering My ministry" or "What are my gifts, skills and strengths in the areas of Spiritual, Heart, Abilities, Personality & Experience  and how they match the needs of the Church?"

When:  Individually or group classes in the November of 2011

Where:  Faith Presbyterian Church, Room TBD

Signup:  Email request to info@faith-presbyterian.com.  We keep our classes small so we can have a discussion.

What else does the Ministry Purpose Team do?

  • We help with the January Leadership Retreat.
  • We do a summer/fall "Thank You" events for our church members (A&W floats 2011).
  • We create and manage the "Time & Talent" program to help members match up with open church jobs.
  • We create classes to help leaders and teams get organized, plan events and other "how to" activities as requirred.
  • This year we are helping plan a "Bridge Event" for the community.

We are available to sit down with you over a cup of coffee, water or soda to talk about what is available at the church for you.
