What is worshiping God all about?
It's about responding to God in thanks and appreciation for everything that He has done, is doing and will do.
How do we do that?
By participating in weekly worship services; singing hymns and songs that tell about what God has done for us and what we can do for Him; by listening to messages from pastors and taking what we learn and applying it to our daily lives.
When can we do that?
Worship is offered two times on Sunday mornings - The 8:30 am service is more traditional (Heritage) and the 11:00 am is contemporary (Jubilation) with a blended nature. Worship services include worship leaders, praise teams, choir music, children's message and a pastoral message.
How can YOU participate in one of the Worship Ministry Teams?
Come to a worship service, meet people and become engaged in a worship team: music and praise, sanctuary decorating, communion or even our Puppet Ministry.

Learn more about the Worship Purpose Team

The Worship Purpose Team works closely with the pastoral staff in planning weekly worship services and special worship services throughout the year. Special services include: Youth Sunday (totally planned and orchestrated by our 7th - 12th graders), Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, Pentecost, Thanksgiving (in conjunction with several area churches), Advent, and Christmas Eve.
The Worship Purpose Team monthly reviews the worship services, making recommendations for changes as needed. The Team works with the Coordinator of Music and those groups that fall under the Music umbrella, e.g. vocal choirs (adult and children's) hand bell choir (multi-generational), ChoirChime (4th grade and above), instrumental groups, directors, organists/keyboardists; reviews and evaluates the music program recommending changes and enhancements as appropriate. The Worship Purpose Team also monitors and coordinates the usher ministry; has responsibility for banners and visual enhancements in and near the sanctuary, including decorating for special church holidays; prepares committee budget requests for its work to be presented to the Support Team (Finance); makes recommendations to the Executive Board (Session) for annual Communion schedule, the worship schedule and other worship opportunities that may present themselves.
